For one night only…….Aberdare Referees Society can confirm that both Jon Moss AND Martin Atkinson will be visiting Aberdare to offer an insight into the world of professional football and refereeing the best league in the world.
Following on from the societies successful evening with Martin Atkinson in May 2017, on Thursday 25th January 2018, Jon Moss, Premier League referee visits Aberdare (Aberdare Constitutional Club at 7pm) to talk about his experiences in refereeing in the Barclays Premier League.

As FIFA Referee Martin Atkinson so much enjoyed his visit last year, he will also be accompanying Jon Moss on this ‘Referees night out’.

Come question the man in the middle. Come see the game from a different perspective.
Let them explain why, when we all shout……’AAWW Com’on ref!’

January 2018, John Bryant is confirmed as a FIFA accredited Assistant Referee.
John now joins another former Aberdare society member Lewiss Edwards who is currently a FIFA Assistant Referee as well as Aberdare’s and Wales’s first female FIFA Referee, Charlotte Carpenter.
John Bryant passed the referees course in January 2010 whilst being part of the Aberdare Referees Society. He was on the South Wales Development Group from 2011-2013 under Ray Ellingham’s (FAW Referees Manager) guidance. After successfully gaining promotions, Bryant was promoted as a Welsh Premier Assistant Referee In August 2013.
Having attended the CORE Programme in Switzerland, graduating in October 2015 with a Diploma, he became a Specialist Assistant Referee when the FAW launched this career path in the summer of 2015.
In January 2016, Bryant officiated on the Welsh Premier League Cup Final between The New Saints and Denbigh Town.
In August 2017, he officiated on a Europa League Qualifying Round fixture between Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) and AEK Larnaca (Cyprus). To date he has officiated abroad on 15 occasions in 9 different countries.
Ray Ellingham and Assistant Referees Coach Eddie King, were delighted to receive the news from FIFA and are both certain that Bryant has a very bright future ahead of him both on the domestic and international scene.
All within the society wish John well and hope he now looks forward to his adventures in Europe.

May 2017, Martin Atkinson FIFA and Premier League referee visits Aberdare to speak about his experiences at EURO 2016 where he was England’s representative at the UEFA tournament.
